Joining blogher a couple of months ago I was not really sure what I expected to get out of joining this site, but what I have found and gained is priceless. When I started on blogher I was new to having a blog and I was not sure what to expect. I had never been one to share anything with anyone but since starting a new lifestyle this year I wanted to be accountable for my actions and communicate with people who understood where I was coming
from. And blogher has differently let me share my dreams and goals and get excellent advise from people who I never would have meet without blogher and be able to share my experience with others and hopefully inspire someone to share their story and be able to come to a place that you can be yourself. I am not a writer and have never been good at expressing myself through writing but I seem to have found my nitch and have set so many goals for myself that I never dreamed I could have accomplished. So thanks blogher for having this wonderful location for everyone like myself who just needed that extra push to move forward. And thanks to everyone for inspiring me to continue on my journey and to never give up and just because I am over 40 does not mean I cannot accomplish my goals. Please join me on my journey at http://24stepstogo.blogspot.com/.

On the journey
Best to you on your journey, in both the expected and unexpected paths it takes you.
I have found that one of the problems in our society is that we have so many topics we can't talk about, and that just perpetuates so many of those problems. Blogging is a great way to open up thoughts and great a dialogue. Most importantly, perhaps, is that we see that with whatever we are struggling with and whatever journey we are on--we are not alone. There are others who are dealing with the same things that we are dealing with. And that knowledge is precious. We all have partners--known or unknown--in our journeys.
