Submit Your Questions For Media and Entertainment Reporter Julia Boorstin of CNBC
by Megan Smith

Julia Boorstin of is an entertainment and media reporter for CNBC.  Her job allows her to cover issues as varied as the projected opening box office for films like "Dark Knight" and "Mamma Mia," to interviewing the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg.

She also writes a blog called "Media Money" for CNBC's website that covers new media, old media and everything in between.  Next week I'm going to have the pleasure of doing a podcast interview with Julia about her job, her life and above all media and money.

What will be the hot media stories for 2009?  How is social media going to continue to impact our everyday lives?  Who are the power women in the worlds of film, television and the internet?  Those are all questions I plan to ask and I'd like input from the BlogHer community as well.

So if you want to know what's up next in the world of media, ask away.  Please leave your questions in the comments section below and be sure to include your name and the name of your blog.

Questions need to be submitted no later than 3PM EST on Thursday August 28th.

My podcast interview with Julia will then be posted after September 2nd.

Megan Smith is a BlogHer Contributing Editor covering Television and YouTube and can't wait to chat with Julia Boorstin.  Her other blogs are Megan's Minute: quirky commentary around the clock, and Video Runway.

I have a wonky question

I used to work in the cable industry, so I'm interested to see consolidation continue there...and their move more and more into content, not just infrastructure and the pipe.

I'm curious if Julia thinks cable companies will supplant movie and television studios as producers of original content.

Am I too late?

It's after 3pm here but I'm not sure if you are in a different time zone. My question is about whether there are any rumblings about how to enhance the image of older women, particularly in the entertainment industry.
