Anyone living in the U.S. who's not a vegetarian is most likely eating turkey today, and if you cooked the turkey yourself, you might be eating turkey tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that . . .
I'm sure you know what I mean. Turkeys can be rather large, and they often produce a lot of leftovers. Worry no more though, for here you go with Blogher's top ten ideas for how to use those turkey leftovers.

"Ahh. Uncomfortable silences and alcohol. Just like Thanksgiving at home..."
--J.D. on "Scrubs"
I'm a little troubled by the recent search results provided to me by Google. I don't think this has anything to do with their page ranking issues but who knows...
In the U.S. we're now only days away from the biggest food holiday of the year, Thanksgiving. Naturally, food bloggers have been testing potential Thanksgiving recipes for weeks, and fingers are now flying over keyboards recommending what you might serve with your traditional turkey or tofu for the holiday meal. Here are some great recipes I've discovered, many of which would be perfect for Christmas dinner too. Check the list and see what sounds good, and if I've missed your favorite holiday recipe, be sure to leave a link in the comments.
As a Canadian, American Thanksgiving always seemed so...big. It seems like such a bigger event than our own harvest festival Thanksgiving held more than a month earlier. When I was a kid the difference in dates was so very confusing. I remember reading a book where a character talked about Christmas decorations coming out right after Thanksgiving and my response was, "What? Before Halloween???" Needless to say I've since learned a lot more about American Thanksgiving (I still don't get the football association, but then I don't really get football). What better way to celebrate it than to point out some Thanksgiving books?
American Thanksgiving. I love it! When I was a very broke youngster it made me happy that people were cooking for me, and also that there was no gift-giving. I didn’t have to watch my mom try to hide her cringing as she opened one of my ceramic "artworks."
Mom: Is this a hippo...or an ashtray?
Me: It’s a bouquet of flowers!
Mom: Oh. I love it.
Supersize Squash, from Peru
Gretchen Noelle from the Peruvian food blog Canela y Comino has a passion for introducing the world to Peruvian food. In a recent post, she writes about the extra-large zapallo macre, (zuh-pie-o mack-ray), what looks from here to be a thick-skinned winter squash.
Thanksgiving Dinner for a Small Table
For Canadian Thanksgiving back in October, Leslie from the Ottawa food blog Definitely Not Martha cooked dinner for a small group. Lucky for anyone doing the same, she's blogged the entire menu, start(er) to finish, riffing traditional flavors with her own sense of style.
I don't know about you, but making an entire pie from scratch (yes, the crust too) scares the heck out of me. With the holidays here I want to serve guests or bring a desert that will WOW my family and friends yet NOT make me cry while kneading dough. I want to say "yes, it's homemade" and NOT be lying through my teeth.
During the holidays tradition abounds. From feasting with family to cooking that special, handed-down recipe.
BlogHer is thrilled to have Elise Bauer from Simply Recipes® share her mother's delicious turkey stuffing.
I don't know about you, but making a holiday turkey has ALWAYS intimidated me. Year after year my mother would show me how and when it became my turn at my house, I panicked. I searched a million recipes and found a million twists and theories on how to do it perfect.
BlogHer does not want YOU to search. We've enlisted Dani Spies to show you exactly how to make the perfect holiday turkey with very little effort. Dani gives us a recipe for a bird that will look beautiful on your holiday table and taste amazing!
