I have been sick with a viral chest cold for almost two weeks now. Life in my house is completely turned upside down because mommy can't get too much laundry or dusting done while I am coughing myself dizzy. Bare minimum is the name of the game at this point.
While I have to admit it took me an entire week before I broke down and made a doctor's appointment(and I only did so when my 18 month old starting coughing like mommy and I figured we would go together) it didn't do me much good. I was told that it was viral and not an infection so there would be no antibiotics. All I got for my co-pay was "Lots of rest and plenty of fluids." I have two kids, one in school and one home ALL day. My husband, bless his heart, doesn't do a whole lot around the house. He works overnight and sleeps during the day. How am I going to rest when there are meals to make and lunches to pack and homework to do and laundry to wash, fold, put away and . . .

Sleep for the Weary.
As a mom of two (and 7/10), I'm sure you know these tricks, but just in case. I have had bronchitis so many times that I have figured out the best tricks for sleeping with the crud.
Sleep partially upright, the recliner is a great place if you can get comfy in it.
Keep the room cool. The warmer you are, the more you'll cough, and the more you cough the warmer you get. It's a downward spiral.
Run a humidifier. I didn't have to deal with this much while preggo, so the whole issue with sleep position may be an issue, but definitely don't get too hot! It makes it worse! :) Hope this helps a bit, and that you don't take offense to some unsolicited advice. :)
Many thanks
MommaMary,
Let's face it, we are moms. Our life revolves around unsolicited advice! Most of the time we ignore it mut every once in a while we get some good stuff like what you wrote. Thanks so much!
