YouTube is becoming quite the phenomenon among all age groups. Carson Daly recently took notice of 20 year old YouTuber Brooke "Brookers" Brodack and signed her for an 18 month overall programming development deal, after viewing her spoof of the Numa Numa kid on YouTube.

"I thought there was something extremely charismatic about this girl," Daly said. "Her directing, her use of music — it was very MTV to me."

Although YouTube has become a favorite hobby for some people, I doubt this will be the last we see of these Hollywood discoveries. Actually, I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. Seems turning your hobby into a career is on the minds of other YouTubers, as some of them are scrambling to put together noteworthy videos after Brooke's news broke in June.

This is what I love about the internet, blogging and file sharing services like YouTube. It gives the not-so-average everyday person a chance to express themselves, and give them lots of unique opportunities. There are knitbloggers out there writing books, reviewing books, movies and and concerts for the mass media, all because someone in a marketing department somewhere found them and thought they would be a good match for their company.

I just think its super-fantastique!
