Contributing Editor, Britt Bravo, also blogs at Have Fun * Do Good and NetSquared. This must be the week for social marketing (using commercial marketing techniques for social change). Tomorrow I will be posting a profile of Solutionary Woman, Katya Andresen, who is the vice president of marketing for Network for Good and author of Robin Hood Marketing: Stealing Corporate Savvy to Sell Just Causes. And this week the Carnival of Marketing is up on Nedra Weinrich's social marketing blog, Spare Change.

I was rather dismayed and surprised to see that none of the contributors to the Carnival this week were women. I asked Nedra how many women bloggers write about social marketing. There were only a few that she knew about:

Getting Attention by Nancy Schwartz.

Figmentations by Helen Hoefele

Resonance Partnership Blog by Marianne Richmond.

If you are a woman blogger who writes about social marketing, join the Carnival, join Blogher, and make your voice be heard.

Thanks for the plug, Britt! I realized that I should have also mentioned that Katya Andresen, whose book you mentioned above, has a blog that's hosted on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/gp/blog/id/A1JZ5SDMYLY957/. Unfortunately, because Amazon does not offer an RSS feed for its blogs, I forget to go onto Amazon to read it, but she told me she's working on setting up a separate blog. In any case,
I highly recommend it.
