BlogHer Registration is LIVE!!
by Elisa Camahort

OK, everybody, in honor of BlogHer being on the same weekend as the Grand Prix race, start your engines!!

BlogHer Registration is live!

You will notice several differences between this year and last year:

-We are a two-day conference, and we are allowing people to register for individual days or both days, as they so choose. Remember, Day One is techie and hands on. Day Two is culture, conversation and community...and will be the Day that supports Room of Your Own sessions.

-We are allowing people to buy evening cocktail party attendance separately. So if you only want to attend one day's worth of sessions, but want to party both nights, you can feel free. Or if you want to bring your significant other to the evening events, you can buy them tickets to just the cocktail parties.

Yes, there are going to be caps on attendance. I will certainly try to give people more heads up than last year! Right now we are estimating that Day One will be about the same size as last year's conference, and that Day Two could be up to double in size.

Stay tuned for an update on the hotel room situation.

Consider the flag to have dropped...and the start gun to have fired.

Next year....

This is probably not going to be an issue for very many people but I'm going to mention it anyway (since I hope to be in attendance next year too)... Are there any other lesbian couples blogging? And attending BlogHer??? Or Blogher/Bloghim couples attending together? ;-)

The form allows the purchase of more than one ticket for all events but in the area where you submit your personal information, name of the blog, what blogging has meant to you etc... there is only room for one person's info.

Since my s/o and I will both be in attendance, we have to fill out the doggone form twice when it would have been nice to have been able to fill out the billing data just once.

Other than that, the form worked smoothly and made sense to me. All signed up!

Registering two

Yes, Denise, you have found a limitation with the registration form. You can register multiple attendees and enter multiple attendee names, but you only get one questionnaire. This was true last year, and yes we had a few couples who attended.

Sorry. In future, folks can send me additional questionnaire responses via email, and I will fold them into the system results.

Thanks for registering!

Will there be any childcare

Will there be any childcare options available at the conference?

We are still looking into that.

We have at least one volunteer checking into childcare options, but don't have a definitive answer yet.

We'll let everyone know as soon as we know something.

Thanks,

Registration question

This is my first BlogHer conference. I'm registered for both days - at what point do we sign up for the individual sessions on each day? Thanks!
Claire

No inidividual session registration required

Hi Claire: At this point we are not planning to make people sign up for spots in specific sessions.

We will probably immitate SXSW and send out a survey asking people to state preferences, so we have a chance of assigning sessions to the appropriate sized rooms. But we won't hold anyone to that.
