The Know and Network project, funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), is developing a knowledge 'diversity direct' portal and a social networking site available to women in IT. It is known that women working in the IT industry can be isolated and lack access to mentoring, business and social support, and networking. knowandnetwork.org
offers personal and group blogs, a chance to communicate with others and advertise events, seminars and conferences, and to share knowledge and ideas within a community of 'friends'.
