Jory, Lisa and I are pleased to announce that we will be launching BlogHer in Second Life to coincide with next month's annual Conference.
BlogHer Second Life will offer the opportunity to experience the Chicago conference live on a virtual platform, complete with general sessions, audio feeds, and even a virtual cocktail party! Similar to BlogHer ‘07 in Chicago, the BlogHer Second Life virtual conference will feature an interactive format designed to inspire discussion.
BlogHer Second Life will be hosted by Queen Tureaud, aka Erin Kotecki Vest of Queen of Spain Blog, who will not only host the activities and sessions during the conference, but will offer office hours pre-conference to help you get up to speed on your Second Life life.
It is free to download Second Life, and it's to register for BlogHer Second Life '07. We consider this our first foray into a virtual BlogHer world, and we're dying to see if there's as much interest and participation as we think there will be!
There are a few more details you're probably dying to know, and for that I urge you to check out Queen Tureaud's introductory post: Take it away, Queen Turead...

cool!
Working in Design, I've seen many Architecture and similar companies creating online demos of their designs, etc and 'setting up shop', doing presentations and classes via SecondLife. It's an interesting proposition.
I've got an avatar (MistressOfTheDorkness Pera), and I'm going to try to get into BlogHer via that route since I can't make it to Chicago.
Neat stuff!
