The "King" and "Queen" have won the top prizes at last night's Screen Actor's Guild Awards. Oscar nominees Helen Mirren of The Queen and Forest Whitaker of The Last King of Scotland won Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday as "best lead players." They continue to rack up awards leading up the Academy Awards, where they are the favorites to win in their respective categories.

Also honored was the film about a dysfunctional family on a road trip to a beauty pageant, Little Miss Sunshine, which won the prize for best film ensemble, SAG's version of a best-picture award.

Also winning supporting player honors last night for Dreamgirls were Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson, who continue their winning streak.

Little Miss Sunshine

Fun film - irreverent, unusual, so damn much like everyone's life. And I live in NM, which made it all the more poignant. Loved it. Glad it took the best film ensemble award.

Little Miss Sunshine

I think it is the very best picture of the year, so it deserves SAG's prize and also the Oscar.
