As I mentioned earlier, I'll be recapping 24 here at Blogher. 24's schedule and structure is unique so I'd like to give you a little overview and guide to what's to come.

For those of you new to 24, the show's title refers to the show's innovative structure. Each season covers one day in the life of Counter Terrorist Unit agent, Jack Bauer. Each episode shows one hour in the day in real time. Thus the episodes do not have titles but rather are named after the hour of the day that is shown.

We are now in season, or day, six. Another aspect of 24 which has evolved over the years is that the start of the season is delayed until after the World Series and episodes are shown in sequence with no repeats. Starting with last season, the first four episodes are shown over two nights to kick things off and really draw in viewers.

New this season is that Fox has already packaged the first four episodes and made them available on DVD for sale. So there's no excuse if you want to dive into 24 this season. I'll recap each episode in case you miss one and add a little witty commentary for your amusement if did see it and you'd like to discuss afterward.

I generally assume that people will not click on the post unless they want to know what happens but in deference to those who avoid spoilers like the plague, I will put a quip and a spoiler alert at the beginning and then no more spoiler alerts in the body of the post.
