When popular food blogger and great photographer Ilva of Lucullian Delights gave readers a peek at her kitchen, she never expected what happened next.

The little glipmse of Ilva's kitchen prompted a spontaneous food blog event, and soon fifty food bloggers had photographed and blogged about their kitchens!. It was great fun seeing people's kitchens, but there was no doubt which was most interesting. Anjali of Anna Parabrahma showed her Grand Aunt's kitchen, where this elderly Indian woman still prepares food completely by hand, and largely outdoors. Anjali is using her blog to give the world a glimpse of her village of Thal, with Part Two just posted today.

Contributing editor Kalyn Denny showed her kitchen, including the table where she hopes her great friend Ilva will be sitting someday!

What a window!

I've been meaning to pour through all those kitchens, thanks for the highlight. I remember a similar kitchen photo thing a year ago when I gained new appreciation for my own 'cramped-and-no-workspace' kitchen - suddenly it seemed spacious and luxurious.

FYI, Gunjan from Vyanjanaa has been posting during her visit home to India as well.
