There's a Lucha de Almohadas (a pillow fight) Nov. 18 in Buenos Aires. 6pm on the dot, in front of the planetarium. A flash mob pillow fight! Marinita, one of the organizers, says "Tell it to the whole world!"

The part that really makes me laugh is that there's a blog post about the Pillow Fight on the official Buenos Aires city government site, complete with many wildly enthusiastic comments. A city government blog... that puts YouTube videos up... and that people actually read. Wow!

Beatrice Murch of Paisleychick, who's living and travelling in Latin America lately, wrote me from Merida, Venezuela, to let me know... And she's planning to make her way to Argentina for the pillow fight.

I'm feeling joyful, or at least cautiously optimistic, this morning, very much in the mood for a pillow fight, because of the Democrats winning back the House and maybe the Senate. So, bloggers in Buenos Aires, please give an extra whack to someone's head for me!
