When is $100 million dollars chump change? When the plaintiffs in a lawsuit were hoping to be awarded $2 billion dollars in damages.
Things have not been going well for our girl Barbie. Ever since the Bratz came to town sales have been plummeting.
A few days after my dad suggested that I write about "why gays are so unhappy," he asked me if I had read about the local GLBTI group in the paper that morning. My first thought was, "here we go again, he just can't resist pushing my buttons." My next thought was, "GLBT - I"? When did it become GLBTI?

When I delivered my second child this past May, things didn't go exactly as I'd planned, which is usually how it goes, but still. I had totally intended to Twitter the whole thing. I had a brand new MotoRazr smartphone and everything. It was going to be awesome. But when the time came, it just wasn't possible. Man, was I bummed.
I know this guy named Joe Trippi.
I met him on Twitter and we talked about his chickens and his blog.
Let's face it, you might not know him unless you follow politics-but you should know Joe Trippi.
The abbreviated version goes something like this:
Just as former President Bill Clinton was taking the stage inside the Pepsi Center, I had a chance to snag Senior Advisor to the Obama Campaign, Dana Singiser, out into a concourse hallway to chat.
As many of you may recall, Dana used to work for Senator Hillary Clinton.
I LOVE that Biden is being introduced through his groundbreaking support of VAWA, the violence against women act.PunditMom is live-blogging the speech over at Momocrats. I love Jill Biden right now- how overwhelming this must be for her. I am so touched by Biden the father. I am so touched by Michelle Obama crying her eyes out. I love that we have men on the podium who are openly emotional- who cry and hug and kiss, father and son. And Biden did a wonderful job of setting apart his life as an underdog's, a fighter's.
In a recent blog post, Lara Galinsky of Echoing Green talks about how each new Echoing Green Fellow is asked to answer the question, "Why do you do what you do?"
I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news on the radio late this afternoon that lesbian activist, Del Martin, had died this morning, August 27, 2008. Her wife, partner of 55 years, Phyllis Lyon was by her side when she died. After hearing the news, I immediately went my computer to make sure it was true. I couldn't quite believe it. It was confirmed by a story on CNN.com.
BlogHer interviewed four of the women of color bloggers covering the Democratic National Convention. Pam Spaulding of Pam's House Blend, Shireen Mitchell of Women Wired In, Liza Sabater of Culture Kitchen and Cheryl Contee of Jack & Jill Politics share their thoughts about the convention so far.
Coming up with something to wear every day can be hard work -- that is, until you find your style groove and fill your closet with pieces that you can mix and match and wear comfortably anywhere. And then you're all set! At least until something unusual crops up, like a black tie dinner. Then you're back to square one AND you're worried about what on earth you're going to wear. Fun!
