If you are an undecided voter, think about this. In the two-party system of American politics, there's a kind of balance that is achieved by taking turns. Let one side run things a while, and then give the other guys a turn. Over time, the excesses from each side get reined in and corrected.
In the last 8 years, the Republicans used their turn to carry the idea of excess far beyond the normal limits. Not just in terms of executive power and favoritism for corporate money. There were also two Supreme Court Justices appointed during that time. Those things swept the country like a tsunami in a direction that needs reversal. The reversal comes from a change in party. Give the Democrats a turn at bringing some of the previous changes back into a more moderate zone. Allow in a couple of Supreme Court Justices that have a more liberal viewpoint. Try a different tactic on global warming and health care.
Let the pendulum swing the other way for a few years. That's the way our system maintains its balance.
