BlogHer seeks an experienced Online Account Executive to join a dynamic sales team that is building exciting programs and relationships with Forture 500 marketers. We need individuals who have experience selling high quality content and creative marketing programs.
This individual must have contacts and experience in the client and ad agency arenas which would include planning as well as buying groups. S/he must be an advocate of social media and word-of-mouth advertising via social media tools, namely blogs. S/he must be willing to be an advocate and educator at the front line of new marketing practices, and s/he must feel strongly about promoting best practices and high editorial standards.
Responsibilities:
- Help educate clients and agencies regarding the power of the “new media”.
- Clearly understand and communicate client marketing objectives to BlogHer team
- Build and maintain relationships within assigned territory
- Co-create proposals for advertising campaigns, using integrated media
- Work in tandem with event sales team
- Regular reporting to EVP sales
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years experience selling online media
- Experience and/or interest in blogs and social media
- Entrepreneurial: Experience cold calling and contact-building
- 1-2 years experience with integrated/consultative selling
- Interest and/or experience in account management
- Strong presentation skills--in-person and in writing
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, PDF, Excel, GoogleDocs
- Experience with Salesforce or other contact database management software
- Interest in working in an entrepreneurial, start-up environment
- Agency and media contacts in any consumer women’s vertical a big plus

Position: Assistant Manager, Client Services

BlogHer, seeks an experienced Assistant Manager, Client Services to help lead and nurture the continued growth and development of our marketing partnerships.
Our Assistant Manager works with the Manager, Client Services and reports to the President of Strategic Alliances, with a dotted line to the EVP, Sales. S/he works cross-functionally in support of the Sales team both before and after the sale. An important job function is creating sales presentations for advertisers interested in engaging this influential audience. This person also works closely with the, Product, Marketing, Ad Ops and Creative teams to ensure we exceed client expectations, and will share renewal responsibilities with their Sales partners.
Our Asst. Manager, Client Services will be the central point of communication during proposal development, and will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver on what was proposed and contracted. They will be responsible for all launch details, Q/A, campaign monitoring, optimization and reporting. Most importantly, they will be the day to day contact with their counterparts at the client once the campaign has been kicked off. This team member will be responsible for ensuring clients’ needs are met. Occasional travel may be involved.

In the BlogHer Asst. Manager, Client Services, we seek someone who will embody the BlogHer spirit and help us serve our mission, our members and our advertisers as we grow.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day client relationships
- Strategizing and helping to develop client promotions and media campaigns, advising clients on best practices and the value BlogHer can provide
- Communicating and keeping clients and Sales team informed of all issues related to their campaigns
- Recommending processes to streamline all pre and post sales activities
- Monitoring and analyzing campaign results and metrics of success
- Proactively making recommendations to optimize client’s ad performance
- Identifying renewal and up-sell opportunities with clients
- Working with third party research and creative partners on key client accounts
- Participating with the sales team in client renewal
- Serving as client and advertising advocate within BlogHer
- Contributing to overall media business and product planning
- Effectively able to work with Accounting to assist with monthly client invoicing

Position Requirements
- 3-5 years work experience including advertising agency, account management, internet marketing, or related experience
- Flexibility to work early hours
- Proven client management experience with level client contact in fortune 500 companies
- Proven project management experience and skills including Excel and PowerPoint
Proven experience in working with a sales force
- Comfortable with online media functionality and terminology; html knowledge a plus
- Comfortable with ad serving technologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfort in presenting in front of a group
- Ability to think strategically while managing details
- Strong interpersonal & diplomatic skills, both working internally as part of a team and working with clients
- Research and analytical expertise a plus
- Media planning experience a plus
- Careful attention to detail and ability to juggle ever-changing priorities under tight deadlines
- Passion for working with women online
- Sense of humor and/or enthusiasm for working with people who think they do

Position: Marketing Programs Manager – Redwood City, CA

BlogHer seeks an experienced marketing programs manager to support the activities of an events & marketing department that will be executing web, collateral, advertising, event planning and P.R. programs.
Responsibilities:
- Be the primary contact with BlogHer’s PR firm, working with them to perfect all forms of PR materials, including: Press releases, Conference speaking abstracts, Interview scripts, Media pitches, Articles
- Be primary marketing research contact, researching the market and competitive landscape and tracking our performance in various metrics systems we employ. Work with research and metrics vendors on survey execution.
- Track requests, recommend prioritization, and ultimately program manage development of marketing tools and other potential marketing programs
- Social media monitoring and participation, including Twitter, Facebook etc.
- Maintain the corporate and Press sections of the BlogHer web site
- Regular reporting to COO
Position Requirements
- Background in marketing, PR and communications, 7+ years of experience. Social Media marketing experience a plus.
- Experience with various social media tools, from blogging to Twitter to Facebook
- Experience supporting executive staff to achieve strategic goals and tactical execution
- Excellent writing and editing skills in both long-form and short-form
- Possess strong communications and computer skills, including office applications, (Mac or PC) and HTML.
- Fanatical attention to detail, and affinity for both creative and organizational tasks.
