Intro: Mrs. Phyllis Montana-Leblanc

Hello, My name is Phyllis Montana-Leblanc. I am from and still live in New Orleans, Louisiana. I am a Hurricane Katrina Survivor! I was featured in Spike Lee's HBO Film Documentary: "WHEN THE LEVEES BROKE." My husband and I just moved out of a FEMA TRAILER 3 MONTHS AGO. We just purchased our NEW HOME. Ihave a 16month old Yorkshire Terrier (male) named BROOKLYN, THE LOVE OF MY HEART!

Through Spike Lee's amazing vision, he introduced me to a publisher, SIMON&SCHUSTER,NY. And an AGENT, WILLIAM-MORRIS AGENCY,LLC. N.Y. I now have a Hurricane Katrina Memoir due to be published AUGUST 19,2008, "NOT JUST THE LEVEES BROKE." I have four sisters and one brother. I am a middle child. I was born December 24,1963. I don't have any children but my husband,Ron and baby, Brooklyn. I love helping people in my own way. I am a hopeless romantic. I believe in equality for all. I am never a judge only an observer and advocate of peace, togetherness and love. That's all for right now. I am hopeful that our world in which we live in can change for the better. I believe that we can REMOVE HATE WITH LOVE. I really do.

Phyllis,

I am sitting here obsessing on our unwanted anniversary as it is coming up in just a month. There are still many spots in the city that induce a "weeping" reflex when I drive through. I was feeling particularly down tonight so I popped Spike's movie in the dvd player and saw your incredible face. I googled you and was delightfully surprised to learn about the book. Naturally I'm getting it. It's released the day after my birthday so call it my gift to myself. I was going to pre-order on the net but thought it would be better if I buy locally and support our economy. Do you have any book signings planned? That would be a real treat for me. I would be eternally grateful if you could email me with any info. Is there a site I can go to for updates? Thank You so much not only for the information but also for getting so many people to pay attention.

Mrs. Phyllis Montana-Leblanc. Well, Hello, Ami. How have you been? It's been a long time. My email address is: brooklyn2@bellsouth.net Yes, Cheryl is still in Los Angeles. She has a beauty salon now on La Cieniga Blvd called SASSY. Gina is still in New Orleans and is listed in the book as always. My husband and I along with my puppy, Brooklyn are still here in the city. Talk to you soon. How's the family? Mom,Dad and brother?
