I write for a living (as a technical writer and as a freelance journalist) and write for fun. My main blog is Red Stapler, a "life" blog. I live in Southern California, am in my late 40s, never married, no kids. I love to cook, read, garden and hike with my big blonde dog, Goldie. The BlogHer Conference is one of my favorite events and I went as a newbie in 2006, a volunteer liveblogger and mike-wrangler in 2007 and as a panelist and reader at the Community Keynote in 2008.

I am interested in spirituality, food and food policy, politics, feminism, megacryometeors, MRSA, the environment...well, basically everything.
