Republican pundit Mary Matalin is taking a lot of heat for her role in the publication of Jerome Corsi's widely-discredited bestselling book, The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality  According to Matalin's website, she "runs" Threshold Editions, the Simon and Schuster imprint that published Obama Nation.

Virginia De Bolt's timely and important post about the lawsuit filed against blogger Leslie Richard has understandably raised alarms. (If you haven't read it, please do -- there's lots of good advice about how to set up your blogging enterprise to protect your work and assets.)  I thought I would piggyback on Virginia's post by contributing some information and resources that can help protect you not only from libel suits, but also from other kinds of legal snares as well.

Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton Headline Democratic Convention; Isaac Hayes, RIP

Michelle Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton will headline the first two nights pf the Democratic National Convention, accordng to a statement from the Convention organizers. The Convention will take place August 25-28 in Denver, Colorado. As is customary, the Vice-Presidential nominee will speak on the 27th and Obama will make his nomination acceptance speech on the last night of the convention at the city's famous Mile-High stadium.
