31 Days of Self-Congratulations is a challenge, no make that a triple-dog dare – to self-congratulate rather than self-flagellate by spending the first 31 days of the year naming at least 31 things we kinda like about ourselves. To acknowledging all the times in the last year we rose above, pushed beyond, said “Thanks, but no thanks,” or shouted “Yes, please!” over the mountain tops. And then – to share them with the world.

In a nutshell, 31 Days is community blog that invites everyone in from January’s chill to name at least one positive thing about ourselves every day between January 1st through the 31st. And to share our self-congrats publicly with friends, family, the entire blazing blogosphere, so they might be similarly inspired. 31 Days is about the small things: learning how to change bike flat, make the world’s best toasted tomato sandwich, bowl a strike, darn a sock. And it’s about the not so small ones, too: mending a relationship, refusing to settle, refraining from judgment.
